I enjoy helping students become science enthusiasts in Salt Lake City. I have been teaching at Hillside Middle School since 2012. Previously I student taught at Salt Lake Center for Science Education (SLCSE). I also worked with science programs at Hawthorne, Lincoln and Whittier Elementary schools in Salt Lake City. I was selected in 2009 to become a Graduate Fellow at the University of Utah for WEST (Water Environment Science and Teaching) and in 2012 became a Graduate Fellow with Math for America. Prior to this I spent my days as a broadcast meteorologist and got to wear a face full of make up and fancy clothes while I predicted the weather on television. You may have seen me most recently at KTVX and KSTU Fox 13 in Salt Lake City. I emphasize presentation skills of scientific ideas in the classroom for our students as well as scientific literacy. I have a hands on style and help our students to explore to come up with their own great questions.
